ETPS is the world's first integrative therapy developed exclusively to fight pain.
ETPS (Electronic Therapeutic Point Stimulation) therapy or as it is sometimes called needless acupuncture, is based on principles from acupuncture, modern neurology, microcurrent stimulation and myofascial release techniques. ETPS has been a remarkable success in the fight against chronic pain. Some patients notice relief from pain after the first treatment, but substantial relief usually requires 2-10 treatments. ETPS can be individualized to any patient's needs and is non-invasive. The hand held instrument is applied directly to the surface of the skin and a concentrated low-force micro current does the magic. The treatment is quick and painless, achieving results in anywhere from 5-15 minutes.
How does the ETPS work?
It works by causing several things to happen:
- Increases or decreases circulation to the area
- Stimulates the parasympathetic nervouse sytem thus causing a calming effect on the body
- Releases natural pain killers called endorphines
- Relaxes contracted muscles thereby taking pressure off nerves and increasing range of motion
Contractions of muscle in the body can mechanically strain the joints they are attached to. This contributs to many chronic degenerative pain syndromes such as osteoarthritis . ETPS relaxes tightened muscles, reducing strain on the attached joints. Rather than just symptomatic relief, ETPS goes to the root of the problem which allows the very cause of some chronic pain symptoms to be treated.
What conditions can ETPS help?
- Neck and Back Pain
- Sports injuries
- Myofascial pain syndromes
